Terms of service

Effective 1 August 2026Last updated 22 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Codekyt Software LLP ("Codekyt", "we", "us" or "our") governing your use of mobile applications published under the Codekyt Apps name (each an "App"), the apps.codekyt.com website and the App websites listed in Appendix A.

By downloading, installing, purchasing or using an App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. App-specific terms are set out in Appendix A.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use an App. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. You must be authorised to use the device and the Google or Apple store account associated with any purchase.

2. Licence to use our apps

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to install and use an App on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes.

The Apps are licensed, not sold. Codekyt and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.

Where you have made a lifetime purchase (section 7), the paid-feature licence for that App is not revocable at will. Section 17 sets out the only circumstances in which we may end it, and section 10 sets out what happens if we discontinue the App.

3. Accounts

Our currently published Apps do not require or offer user accounts. If an App introduces accounts, additional account terms and an updated Privacy Policy will be presented before the feature becomes available.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the records, plans, lists and other content you create in an App ("Your Content"). You are responsible for Your Content, its accuracy and any decision made using it.

Your Content is stored locally on your device unless Appendix A expressly says otherwise. You are responsible for maintaining backups. Clearing App storage, uninstalling an App, resetting or losing your device may permanently delete Your Content, and Codekyt may be unable to recover it.

You must not use an App to create, store or share unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of another person.

5. Cloud services

Our currently published Apps do not upload Your Content to Codekyt for cloud storage or synchronisation. Technical services used for analytics, crash reporting, notifications and purchases are described in the Privacy Policy and do not receive the content identified in Appendix A.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease or create derivative works from an App except as permitted by law;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• bypass or interfere with security, purchase validation, access controls or paid features;
• access an App or related service through unauthorised automated means;
• introduce malicious code, overload infrastructure or interfere with another person's use; or
• use an App for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity.

7. Subscriptions, billing and auto-renewal

Some Apps offer optional paid upgrades: a recurring subscription, a one-time lifetime purchase, or both. The App's purchase screen displays the plan, local price, included features, any introductory offer and, for a subscription, the billing period before you confirm a purchase.

Purchases are processed by the store through which you obtain the App: Google Play on Android or Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPad. Store purchases are subject to the applicable Google Play terms or Apple Media Services terms. Codekyt does not receive your payment-card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. The applicable store charges the payment method associated with your account at confirmation and at each renewal. Taxes and currency conversion may apply.

If a free trial or introductory offer is available, its duration and eligibility requirements will be shown before purchase. Unless cancelled before it ends, a free trial converts to a paid subscription at the displayed price. Eligibility is determined by the applicable store.

On Android: open Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select the App → Cancel subscription.

On iPhone or iPad: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select the App → Cancel Subscription.

Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.

The applicable store may notify you of price changes and request consent where required. You can restore an eligible purchase on a device using the same store account. A subscription applies only to the App for which it was purchased unless expressly stated otherwise.

Lifetime purchases

Some Apps offer a lifetime purchase: a single payment that unlocks that App's paid features with no recurring charge. It is a one-time in-app product, not a subscription. It does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and the cancellation instructions above do not apply to it.

"Lifetime" means the operational lifetime of the App, not the lifetime of the purchaser. A lifetime purchase gives you that App's paid features for as long as we continue to publish it, on the platforms and store accounts where it remains available. It is not a promise that we will publish the App indefinitely. It applies only to the App for which it was bought: it does not cover our other Apps, a separate App released later, or a feature that depends on a third-party service that stops being available to us.

A lifetime purchase is tied to the store account used to buy it and can be restored on your devices through that account. What happens to a lifetime purchase if we discontinue an App is set out in section 10.

8. Refunds

The store that processed a purchase also handles refund requests. Refund eligibility is governed by that store’s policies and applicable consumer law. Android users may use their Google Play order history; iPhone and iPad users may use Apple’s Report a Problem service. If you need further help, contact the App support address in Appendix A with your order or transaction details and a description of the issue.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund the current billing period.

Store refund windows for a one-time purchase, including a lifetime purchase, are typically much shorter than the billing period of a subscription. If you are outside the store’s self-service window and believe a refund is due — for example because a paid feature has never worked on your device — contact the App support address in Appendix A with your order or transaction details. We will review the request on its merits and ask the store to process any refund we approve.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer right or remedy available to you.

9. Notifications

An App may provide optional local reminders and product announcements. You can manage these in the App or in your device settings. Delivery is not guaranteed and notifications should not be relied on for urgent, medical, safety-critical or time-sensitive purposes.

10. Updates, availability and changes

We may provide updates that add, change or remove features, address security issues or maintain compatibility. An update may be required for continued use. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or perpetual availability of any App or feature.

We may suspend or discontinue an App. Where we discontinue an App for which you hold a paid plan, we will give at least 90 days’ notice where reasonably practicable, through a notice in the App, on this website, or on the store listing.

If a discontinuation materially affects a prepaid subscription or a lifetime purchase, we will comply with applicable law and the applicable store’s requirements concerning cancellation or refunds.

Where an App's paid features run on your device and do not depend on a service we operate, discontinuing that App will not switch off paid features already unlocked on a device on which your purchase has been restored, and we will keep the last released build available for as long as the applicable store permits.

Where an App's paid features do depend on a service we operate and we end that service, we will, for a lifetime purchase, offer a pro-rata refund, an equivalent credit, or a comparable replacement, treating the lifetime purchase as covering the three years from its date of purchase. Where applicable law or the applicable store’s policy gives you more, that applies instead.

11. No professional advice

Our Apps are general organisational tools. They do not provide medical, dietary, nutritional, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice. Outputs, estimates and summaries are for convenience and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for your decisions and should consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

12. Third-party services

Apps may rely on third-party services for distribution, billing, analytics, diagnostics, messaging and subscription management. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability, except to the extent required by applicable law.

13. Intellectual property

The Apps, website, software, designs, text, graphics, logos, names and other materials supplied by Codekyt are owned by Codekyt or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trade names, trade marks or branding.

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation, but you retain ownership of Your Content.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, each App is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security and non-infringement. We do not warrant that an App will meet your requirements or that operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.

This section does not exclude warranties or consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codekyt and its partners, employees and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from or related to an App.

Our aggregate liability arising from an App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for that App during the 12 months preceding the claim or INR 1,000.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Codekyt against third-party claims, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of an App, your material breach of these Terms or your infringement of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Codekyt's breach, negligence or misconduct.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using an App at any time. You must separately cancel any active subscription through the store through which you purchased it. A lifetime purchase does not renew and does not need to be cancelled.

We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, misuse payment or security systems, threaten the security of an App or use it unlawfully. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach.

We will not terminate a paid licence, including a lifetime purchase, for convenience. If we stop publishing an App, section 10 applies instead of this section.

Upon termination, your licence ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity and dispute provisions—remain in effect.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our Apps, business or legal obligations. The revised Terms will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required by law. Changes do not apply retroactively.

Your continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country, courts located in Panchkula, Haryana, India have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before commencing formal proceedings, please contact [email protected] so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.

20. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Codekyt concerning the Apps. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganisation or transfer of the relevant business. The English version controls if a translation conflicts with it.
